Case studies

Chosen cities for case study areas wthin CORFU project are:

• Barcelona in Spain
• Beijing in China
• Dhaka in Bangladesh
• Hamburg in Germany
• Mumbai in India
• Nice in France

In parallel investigation will be done with:

• Seoul and Songdo in Korea
• Taipei in Taiwan

All of the chosen cities has a history of work with urban flood modeling and has broad experience in urban flood management.  It is important to stress that Asian case studies represent both some of the most important and flood prone cities. They are representing excellent choices which will enable testing the new methodologies comprehensively and to disseminate them among local institutional entities, technical people and citizens, and beyond.
